I have devoted half of my life to helping people save, fix, and restore their teeth

I truly love being a dentist and being a partner with each patient as we improve their oral health, move them out of pain, and give them a smile they love.

My faith is an important part of my life and I am always honored to pray with a patient in the operatory, whether it’s about a personal matter or a dental issue.

My grandfather, father, and older brother were/are dentists. I saw, from an early age, the love and enjoyment my father found in being a dentist, and was drawn to the profession. I’ve always loved working with my hands and knew I needed to be of service to others. Becoming a dentist was the perfect fit.

Education and Continuing Education

After completing my dental degree, I served our country as a dentist in the U.S. Army. In 2002-2003 I completed an advanced education in general dentistry residency at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. I was then deployed to Iraq; it was a difficult and dangerous year, but also rewarding and an experience I will never forget.

Continuing education is an important part of my daily practice. It helps me utilize new techniques, materials, and protocols that improve my patients’ care and outcome. I complete many courses each year, and study advances in general dentistry as well as implant dentistry and bone and soft tissue grafting.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS

Our Team

We have a friendly, compassionate, and educated team. Each member treats patients in a professional and courteous way. We listen to patients, respect their individual concerns, and strive to accommodate their needs. It’s a great feeling when patients tell me they look forward to coming in because they appreciate our welcoming, supportive environment.

Beyond the Practice

I’m an Oregon native, having grown up in Bend. Grants Pass has been home to my family and me since I joined the practice in 2006. My wife Emily and I have been married for 20 years and have four children: Brandon, Melanie, Olivia, and Kianna. We live on a farm with three horses, two donkeys, two goats, a chicken, 13 ducks, three dogs, and two cats!

When I’m not in the office, I love being with my family, especially camping or road-tripping in our motor home. I also enjoy DIY projects, love taking care of the yard, and am a drummer and can often be found playing my drums.

Additionally, I’m one of several leaders for a local men’s Christian group, Wild Hope. We perform local service projects for the community and care for our less-privileged neighbors.
